The photographs were taken on Wednesday 14th. March 2001 at about 1:00pm. The sky was overcast, local electric light was significant. The camera was a (borrowed) Apple QuickTake 200, with a resolution of just 640 x 480 pixels. The photographs were colour and geometry altered with Adobe Photoshop on a Macintosh G3 (also borrowed!). They were then scaled and compressed with Lemkesoft's GraphicConvertor.

The geometry "correction" was made to allow for the barrel distortion produced by the camera, and the slight skew caused by the positioning.
The painting was created by Dave Marmery and the photographs of it (and him) were taken at "Sid's Fish Stall" which he runs in the Open Market, The Level, Brighton. (Sid was Dave's Dad).
My thanks to Dave for his co-operation (and fish). |
